On the outskirts of Karachi, Pakistan is the citie On the outskirts of Karachi, Pakistan is the cities largest landfill. Here, live thousands of people who live in desperate poverty. Since 2012 you have donated towards schools we've built in these communities.

Our students salvage reusable or recyclable materials thrown away by others to sell or for personal consumption.

Under the heat of the searing sun in 113F and in the cold rain, these villagers suffer.

Your contributions support the schools we've built in these communities and we need you now.

Will you donate on the link in the bio?

300 families have a new start. While those living 300 families have a new start.

While those living in poverty crumble under the financial instability of the country, we felt we had to do something.

We didn’t want anymore kids dying of starvation.

We didn’t want anymore of them working 12 hour shifts.

Our team at @idaraalkhair surveyed 300 of the poorest families around our schools and provided them with business starter grants, provided small business infrastructure such as carts, goods and machines or helped to pay off their debts.

For these families, it could have taken them years to get to this point otherwise.

We do our best to invest your donations as quickly as possible for impact. But now we’re out of funds and we need you.

We are addressing hunger in Pakistan’s Slums. Upon providing on campus meals we noticed a change in our students. They were happy, there were less absences, and they were focused in the classrooms.

100% of our students come from families that are food insecure. On a daily basis, they do not know where their next meal will come from.

Your contributions will provide a full bag of food staples, enough to last a family of 5-7 for several weeks. Each bag includes: Flour 10kg, Rice 05kg, Oil 03kg, Lentils 2kg, Masoor lentil 1kg, Tea 180g, Besan 1.5kg, Chickpea flour 2kg, Spices 300g, Rose syrup, and Salt.

We work really hard to give these kids the experiences they don’t get from their surroundings.
But we’re stuck and we need you.

Last year we required $800,000 to keep our 6 schools and medical facility in Pakistan running.

However we’re further and further from funding goals the last 12 months.

We require $48,000 for running costs in February and we only have $31,000.

Please consider a donation at the link in our bio.

But we’ve quickly outgrown our current space.

Our makeshift medical clinic sits atop the college we run with @idaraalkhair. SWIPE to see the last photo.

In 2023, our medical team was treating 2,000 patients monthly and our doctors performed 228 outpatient surgeries.

Working in the slums of North Karachi, Pakistan, our doctors are faced with difficult decisions on who to prioritize each day. They see hundreds of patients sick with chronic conditions, sadly many young children.

We’ve put a down payment on land to build a city hospital. This would serve the poorest population in Karachi.

Unfortunately, we haven’t had the funds to build. Please consider donating at the link in our bio. Questions? Comment below.
We LOVE visitors. @wishbigfoundation has been sup We LOVE visitors.

@wishbigfoundation has been supporting our work in Pakistan when we had just one school, now we’ve got a half dozen.

They’ve personally witnessed our growth and been a consistent part of it for over a decade.

When they planned their trip to Karachi a few weeks back, they told us a tour of our facilities was a must during their travels and we couldn’t be happier.

Our country manager provided them with a full day tour of all of our schools, medical facility and college.

@nidatabba shared, “We had the most amazing and memorable visit! Saad was great!!! We had the pleasure of meeting the principals, staff and of course the student at each school! Kachra Kundi was a different world! All of the schools are truly impressive and the work that is being done in those communities for those people is absolutely remarkable. The computer labs, libraries, labs, and playgrounds are very well done and organized. The roti banks, clinics and vocational training centers were brilliant as well! It was so nice to finally visit the places we had heard about and seen pictures of. Seeing it in reality is mind blowing!”❤️❤️❤️

Now boasting over 2,000 students across 6 campuses in our partnership with @idaraalkhair , we require a million dollar budget to keep our doors open. If you love our work, consider a donation at the link in our bio.
DELIVERY! A healthy baby boy is born at our healt DELIVERY!

A healthy baby boy is born at our health facility in Sierra Leone today. ➡️ to see the beautiful boy.

When we started our work in Sierra Leone in 2014, we asked the various communities what they needed. They said they no longer wanted mothers to die during childbirth. We partnered with the district to build new maternal health campuses in some of the most remote and impoverished communities of Sierra Leone.

This birth marks more than 800 healthy babies delivered at our facilities and 40,000 patients treated since 2014.
Thank you for your attendance at Stand Up for Gaza Thank you for your attendance at Stand Up for Gaza!

Your continued contributions have helped us launch several schools and programs to change this. 40% of the students in our schools today are girls.

UPDATE ON FLOODS CAMPAIGN Last year, flooding too UPDATE ON FLOODS CAMPAIGN

Last year, flooding took more than a 1/3 of Pakistan underwater and destroyed 80% of the country’s agricultural landscape.

For rural farmers, their villages and livelihoods were completely destroyed.

Our team at @idaraalkhair traveled weekly to disburse food and shelter to communities in interior Sindh. Soon after we identified a village called Goth Bundoo that we wanted to help rebuild.

The process has been slow with many people living in 3-4 ft of water in the months that followed.

We’re so excited to share that in partnership with IAK the village of Goth Bundoo has been completely rebuilt. An estimated 20 houses remain with 50 already completed.

Villagers have approached the team and said, “This is no longer a Goth Bundoo, we are living in Paris!”

Our homes were built in superior quality as flood resistant structures. Built several feet above ground, with cement, bricks and double plastering as well as iron roofs.

Thank you donors for helping to transform the lives of hundreds of people each day ✨
When girls + women are educated… >> WE SEE FAS When girls + women are educated…

>> WE SEE FASTER POVERTY REDUCTION <<

Before our arrival, there was 0% female literacy rates in several of the areas we work in.

>> Now, over 40% of our primary level students + 80% of our college level students— ARE FEMALE! <<

We are so proud to announce these numbers. Why? Because slums are the most neglected residential areas of the world and one of the most dangerous for young girls. Poverty, child marriage and gender-based violence thrive in areas of poverty— and without an education—these girls are not able to find a way out.

Our schools provide lessons on important topics like empowerment and sustainability while also providing outlets like sports and digital academics.

In the lesson shown here, the class discusses the pros and cons of city vs country life. Students share, in many ways, that country life is better because one can grow their own fresh healthy food. Smart!

We have more work to do as we continue to ensure more girls further their path to higher education.

Be a part of their growth! You can donate via our link in bio or simply comment DONATE + we’ll be in touch.

Thank you for being here.

We’ve made so much progress on our Central Food We’ve made so much progress on our Central Food Kitchen in Karachi, Pakistan and wanted to share with you, our donors.

Our students live in and around the cities landfill. Their conditions are deplorable. The vast majority of them are malnourished and find it uneasy to focus while hungry.

Upon introducing on campus meals, we saw a complete transformation in them.

So the meals kept coming. More than half a million meals have been provided since the start of the program. This innovative space will feature a state of the art commercial kitchen, sustainable farm, flour mill and food packing area. It will amplify all of the work we’re doing in food security for these communities.

We’re half way there on funding. Swipe to see the progress !

Special thanks to our partners and dream team at @idaraalkhair

CITY HOSPITAL

Help us construct a state-of-the-art 50-bed medical facility with a focus around ear, nose, and throat (ENT) health and more broadly supporting head and neck departments. The facility will be 4 floors and will offer other specialized medical services in the fields of:
Pediatrics

Emergency Flood Relief

According to the UN’s Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), heavy monsoon rainfall and floods have affected some 2.3 million people in Pakistan since mid-June, destroying at least 95,350 houses and damaging a further 224,100.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Most immediately there is a need to provide food relief. Our team is on the ground in Dadu village, located in Interior Sindh and is surveying the area. Other non profits have already established tents and temporary living shelters until the water recedes.

There is a need to provide at least 1000 food relief packages (at $15 each) containing: Cooking Oil (1 LTR), Flour (10 KG), Rice (3KG), Sugar (1KG), Soaps, Spices, Milk Pack (1 LTR), Salt, Matchsticks, Lentils (2KG), Tea.
